Tracey

Teresa D'Alosio was born in 1891 in Eureka, Nevada to immigrant Italian parents. At the age of ten she moved with her family to the Steptoe Valley, twenty miles from Ely, to live on the Lusetti Ranch. Although Tracey was only 4'10" in height and weighed 90 lbs., she would do the work of a hired hand during the day. In the evenings she did embroidery, knittting and crochet and helped with the women's work.

At age 35 she married Edward Arthur Knight and moved to Ely. The couple lost two children at birth before having their daughter Teresa. Tracey died in 1987 at age 96.
